Next week is Thanksgiving Break! All Cobb County school will be closed from 11/25 to 11/29. Please enjoy some well-deserved time with family and friends.
Students should be working on their science projects. Students will need the data that they’ve collected to be able to created a graphic representation of their findings. Students will be working on the data component in class with me on Monday (Periods 1, 2, and 3) or Tuesday (Periods 4 and 5).
Day 1 – Students will work on turning their data for the science project into a representation that is easily interpreted (bar graph, line graph, dot plot, pictograph, etc.). Students will also be working on learning about histograms. This is a carryover from last week.
Day 2 – Students will continue to work on histograms and will add box and whisker plots to their learning.
Day 3 – Students will have a quiz over their understanding of the following concepts: statistical questions, variability, measures of center (mean, mode, and median), and range. Please review the previous videos on the blog to help your child review. This will be a quiz. There will not be a study guide provided for it since it is not a unit test.
