Week of 3.9.2020


This Friday is the 6th and 7th grade dance from 4:30 – 6:30 PM at Griffin. Students may pay for the dance AND turn in the permission slip in the mornings at the school store. The cost is $10 and forms are available in the mornings at the school store as well.

This Wednesday, March 11, is an Early Release Day. Students will be dismissed at 1:30 on this day.

This week, students will have a quiz over solving equations and inequalities. Please have your child look over the blog and ensure that they understand the material. This is not a unit test, so there will not be a study guide. See which class students will take the quiz below.

This Friday, March 13th, is the end of the quarter. Please encourage your child to turn in or finish any work that is not completed.

This week, students will be learning about independent and dependent variables, how to organize the data in tables, and how to graph them. This can be a difficult topic, but students should have prior knowledge of how to graph on the x and y axes. Students also have prior experience with input and output tables.

Day 1 – Introduce Independent and Dependent Variables see videos below

Day 2 – Quiz over Equations and Inequalities and then work on dependent and independent variables as time permits.

Tuesday – Period 1

Wednesday – Periods 2, 3, and 4

Thursday – Period 5

Day 3 – Work on dependent and independent variables and their relationship through direct variation.
